Sambar Powder is a South Indian style, hygienically blended spice powder made with the choicest of aromatic Karavali (coastal Karnataka) organic spices. It packs in the nutritional greatness of ground coriander, cumin, mustard, black peppercorn, red chilies, fenugreek, and other spices, enriched with the protein of chana dal.
To prepare an awesome bowl of sambar:
1. Soak 100g of Toor Dal for 30 minutes and boil it with the vegetable of choice (Example: Drumstick, Brinjal, Pumpkin, etc.). Add onion for taste (optional).
2. Add 2 tbsp of Tamarind juice, 2 tbsp of Chili powder, and salt to taste. Add 1 heaped tbsp of Sanchya Sambar Masala. Bring to a simmer. Remove from flame. Serve.
