Homemade Chana/Chole masala powder, prepared with hygienically blended, aromatic Karavali (coastal Karnataka) good quality organic spices, is a must have in every kitchen for preparing an appetizing bowl of Chole. Such is the goodness, that it can be used as multipurpose mix and can be used for different types of curries or lentil recipes.
SUGGESTED PREPARATION USING CHANA/CHOLE POWDER
1. Soak 100 gms Kabuli Chana overnight. Cook and keep aside. Heat 3 tbsp of oil, fry 2 chopped onions till it turns golden brown. Add 1 tsp each of coriander and chilli powder.
2. Add 1 tbsp Sanchya Chole Masala. Fry for 3 mins on low flame. Add 1 chopped tomato, 3 slit green chilies and ½ inch ginger, finely sliced. Add boiled chole. Add salt to taste, cook for 5 mins.
3. For added flavor, add ½ tsp Chaat Masala and Kasuri Methi.
